Here are the pics from our white water rafting trip on 08/30/2008. Me, my 2 brother and my dad rafted the Arkansas river, which went under the Royal Gorge Bridge. We did this 9 mile stretch 2x (double dip). We hit six class-4 areas of the river. Here are some pics:

Dive Trip

I just got back from a week long diving trip and it was great! Here are some pics (click on pic and it will take you to photo album):

Water was about 84 degrees and the seas were very calm! I got 15 dives in, including 1 night dive, which was very different!

Cozumel Trip

Well, my wife and I have been saving for over 2 years and paid cash for a week long trip to Cozumel Mexico!!! Did I mention we saved and paid cash, thats right, we didn't barrow from no stink-in credit card, we paid cash and it felt great. We have sworn off all credit cards and our completely out of debit(except our mortgage, but we will be working on that soon).

Tami and I had a great time getting to know each other better. We shared many exciting moments shooing way my fellow panhandling Mexicans. The time flew as we were kid-less and loving it. I was able to get 5 dives in, I paid for 6, but got really sea sick on one trip. I can't share all the details in this post, but here are some pictures of our trip:

Colorado City Slicker

So our work group had a team building exercise out at a ranch yesterday. Next we ate some beef for lunch and all headed out to the calf roping enclosure. After a few demos of how calf roping is done, they asked if any of us wanted to try. I said I would give it a shot and jumped on the white horse shown in the pics here:

I informed the cowboys that I had never really rode a horse and probably shouldn't try to rope a cow, they agreed. I figured I would walk the horse around the pen and to my surprise the horse took off running like a bat out of hell! I thought I was going to die!!! The horse eventually stopped and all was well, but a coworker of mine (Jeff) figured he would pony up to the challenge. I asked him if he had ever rode and he was like, "oh yea, alot". He jumped on the brown horse and they loaded a cow in the barrel. The gate opened and the cow exploded out of the starting point. Jeff's horse did not take off, so he yelled, "HEEEYAWWW!" and that horse went from 1 to 60 in about a 1/2 a second. He was looking ok, until he reached the end of the pen, then check these pics out:

He had to go to the doctors today and get X-Rays of his back, but he is doing ok.

When will us men learn not to do such crazy things. We must remember the inspired words from Caution-Man, "Be Careful!"

Run Forest RUN!

So my brother talked me into getting Nike Plus for my birthday and wow, what a cool device. I have been running for a while now, but this nike plus device lets me know how far I have run, calories burned, running pace, etc. I took off running this morning and my goal was 6 miles, but here were my actual results. I broke my all time record!

Test Tees

So my buddy from Alaska came down and we were wondering around in the mall looking for a particular tee shirt. I asked an employee if they had this tee shirt in stock and I showed her the shirt. She replied, "Not any more, that is one of my test tees". As we walked away, my buddy turned to me and said, "I wouldn't have thought she had testes." - heheheh

Carter has Pills

Our family has spent tons of $$$ on vitamins that are never consumed. We have baskets of these weird little pills that are supposedly suppose to cure even more than "Yacov's Elixir" could (Elixir from Danny Kays movie, The Inspector General).

Well, being a guy and playing my frugal, mr. cheapskate card, I have started consuming these things. I have no idea what they do or what they are for, but I just can't stand letting them go to WASTE!!! So every morning I get up and take a hand full of rainbow vitamin goodness. I must say, I am the most healthy member of my little family - heheheh

Fair is Fair

This morning my wife woke me up and 05:30 and told me she had a very bad dream. I woke my self, which means I was now awake and couldn't go back to sleep, and listen as she explain what "dream me" had done in her dream to upset her so. As she was telling me the story, she became tired and started dozing off (right in the middle of the story). Soon the story became much mumbling gibberish and she fell asleep (never did get to hear the whole story). Since I was a awake, I figure I would talk to her and began to discuss some of my thought and feelings. She immediately told me to be quite and that she was trying to sleep. - oh well, heheheh

I was making my son lunch. After I had cut the sandwich in 1/2, I put it on a plate and handed it to him. He looked at it and said, "Dad, I want 4 in 1". After many "4 in 1" requests, I finally realized that he wanted the sandwich cut into 1/4. - heheheh
